From Mortain, several cycling paths and marked trails allow easy access to the essential sites. The greenway connecting Vire, Mortain, and Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët offers long rides in nature: allow about 2h30 to reach Vire (30 km) or 1h30 to reach Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët (20 km). You can also enjoy the greenway for an approximately 2-hour ride (30 km) between Domfront and Mortain.
From Paris Montparnasse, take a direct train to Vire (Paris – Granville line). The journey takes approximately 2h45. Once in Vire, Mortain is accessible by taxi or via bus connections (approximately 30 minutes travel time). Another option: a train to Avranches or Villedieu-les-Poêles, also with a taxi or bus connection.
